Buy a 5-wall yurt for 3500.00 only!
What is the difference? Our special order yurts (we no longer have any of those in stock) are an improved generation of yurts. They are still completely traditional yurts but have addressed some of the disadvantages of the first generation imports we got. For anyone using the yurt as a full-time living situation, we recommend the special order yurts. If you are using your yurt as a backyard hang-out space or backyard playroom or meditation room, a first-generation yurt will do the job just great! Some of the differences are: -The new and improved yurts have a second waterproofing stripe around the bottom that helps to seal the bottom of the yurt walls. - The outside esthetic cover on this first-generation import is not so heavy-duty and will ware and tear over extended period of time. You will eventually want to get a replacement cover. -The top of the ring and exterior of the door (basically all painted surfaces that are directly exposed to the weather) will start fading and some paint may start chipping after a while. While this is something that will eventually happen to all yurts and can be improved by putting on a coat of clear sealer about every 6 months, the new-generation yurts have improved paint qualities that hold up better. - The first-generation yurts are not individually crated and therefore best picked up in person. If you request a shipping, we will have to add a crating charge to the shipping cost, as no shipping company will pick up a yurt and transport it in pieces. |
